To find a hydration station, cooling center, or respite center near you, visit the Maricopa Association of Governments Heat Relief Network Interactive Map.

Each year, the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) coordinates the mapping of the Heat Relief Network, a network of partners providing hydration stations, refuge locations, and water donation sites throughout the Valley with the goal of preventing heat-related illnesses and deaths among vulnerable populations. On their interactive map, you will find:

To find a cooling center, hydration station, public pool, or splash pad near you, visit the Pima County Cooling Centers Map.

The cooling center’s project, organized in partnership with the Arizona Department of Health Services, is part of a Building Resilience Against Climate Effects (BRACE) grant from the CDC and is being implemented in coordination with the Pima County Health Department with support from the City of Tucson, Pima Association of Governments, and other regional community organizations.

  • Centros de enfriamiento: Cooling centers (sometimes also called “heat refuges”) are open to all and provide a climate-controlled space to relax and rehydrate. Many also provide food.
  • Hydration Stations: Locations where individuals can go to get water.
  • Pools and Splashpads: Public pools that charge a small admission fee and splash pads with various water ground nozzles that spray water upwards and a variety of showers.

To find a hydration or cooling station near you, visit the Pinal County Coalition to End Homelessness Hydration & Heat Relief Map.

The Pinal County Coalition to End Homelessness (PCCEH) includes governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, health agencies, and other service providers that work collaboratively within a community network to provide individualized services to Pinal County residents. On their interactive map, you will find:

  • Hydration Stations: Locations where individuals can go to get water.
  • Cooling Stations: Air-conditioned locations where individuals can go to cool off.

Condado de Yuma

To find a cooling center or water site near you, visit the Yuma County Cooling Centers and Water Sites Map.

On their map, you will find:

  • Centros de enfriamiento: Air-conditioned indoor locations that provide refuge from the heat during the day. Drinking fountains or free bottled water are available. Bottled water donations may be accepted here.
  • Water Sites: Places where individuals can go to receive free bottled water. Bottled water donations may be accepted here.
